The cruise departs from Hamburg on the MSC Preziosa on 12/13/2026 and lasts for 7 days. The ports of call are Zeebrügge (B), Le Havre, Cherbourg (both F), and Southampton (GB). All ports are - admittedly - relatively unspectacular. Why this trip anyway? The MSC Preziosa is beautifully decorated during Advent. It also has nice bars/cafes and an excellent à la carte restaurant. Furthermore, the entertainment in the theater (but not only there) is really good. And from the aforementioned ports, you can easily take trips to beautiful cities with Christmas markets (Bruges, Rouen, Caen, Winchester). I will do this individually by train. Finally, cruises are naturally significantly cheaper at this time of year. With an interior cabin and the Easy drinks package, this comes to about €725 per person (excursions will be extra, of course). I personally want to take in the Christmas markets and local sights on this trip. However, a stay in a cafe or pub is also always possible. You are welcome to join me on my trips. But this is just an offer. Feel free to design the trip according to your own taste. Then we'll limit ourselves to sharing the cabin and, if necessary, having dinner together in the restaurant. My goal on this trip is simply a relaxed, friendly get-together - and of course, an affordable travel price. By the way, I am a non-smoker and probably don't snore. Despite my 62 years, I am still quite sporty, which is why I tend not to wander slowly through the cities. I also love culture and therefore tend to stay in churches for a bit longer. The excursion time is not enough for museums anyway. Oh yes, one more thing: The trip starts from Hamburg. I myself will probably arrive a day earlier, look at the Christmas markets there and go to a comedy show in the evening. The next morning there is the fish market and a free concert in the adjacent hall. Maybe you'd like that too? By the way, this is not my first Advent cruise with the MSC Preziosa. And I actually know the excursion destinations (except for Caen) already (and therefore know that they are feasible in terms of time). So why again? Well, the trip is simply a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit.
