Ireland and New Zealand

Am I the only person who prefers rain, moderate temperatures, and little sun? Why does everyone want to go to the sun? I'm quite flexible and willing to compromise (the main thing is that the chemistry is right). I've seen a lot of the world (Central America, Europe, Africa, Asia), but I'm too old for the backpacker lifestyle health-wise. I just need water nearby for swimming to keep my body fit. I prefer beautiful, secluded nature instead of tourist hotspots and other overcrowded places. I want to explore the middle of Ireland in autumn and New Zealand for 2-3 months in winter (B&B or similar, as long as it's a soft bed).
