Turkmenistan in October – Ashgabat, Darvaza & Mary

Salam! I'm Saida from Baku, 27, and I've planned 8 days in Turkmenistan for October 2028. Rough route: Ashgabat, Darvaza, Mary, Konye-Urgench. The core idea is a guided trip – so lots of desert, a bit of architecture, and if time allows, also rare sights. I prefer small and personal accommodation, more like boutique hotels than large chains. It's important to me not to tick off everything: I'd rather linger in a place if it feels right, explore local markets, and chat with people. I'm relaxed, an early riser, and enjoy evenings with a glass of wine or tea at the table. Linguistically, Azerbaijani/English work just fine. Looking for a travel buddy – we don't have to be together 24/7. Sharing meals, spending a day together, or doing a hike together is perfectly enough.
