Pakistan in August – Skardu, Gilgit & Islamabad

Salaam! I'm Ananya from Hulhumalé, 28, and I've planned two weeks in Pakistan for August 2028. Rough itinerary: Skardu, Gilgit, Islamabad, Hunza. At its core, it's about trekking – so lots of mountains, a bit of trekking, and if time permits, culture too. I prefer accommodation that's small and personal, more guesthouses than big hotels. It's important to me not to tick boxes: I'd rather linger in a place if it feels right, soak up local markets, and chat with people. I'm relaxed, up early, and happy to sit at a table in the evening with a glass of wine or a cup of tea. Linguistically, German/English are no problem. Looking for a travel partner – we don't have to be together 24/7. Sharing meals, spending a day together, or doing a hike together is perfectly enough.
