Jambo! I'm Ethan from Dodoma, 33, and I've planned two weeks in Nicaragua for January 2028. Rough itinerary: Granada, Ometepe, San Juan del Sur, León. At its core, it's about a round trip – so lots of volcanoes, a bit of surfing, and if time allows, colonial sights too. I prefer accommodation to be small and personal, more hostel than big hotels. It's important to me not to tick every box: better to linger in one place if it feels right, explore local markets, and strike up conversations with people. I'm relaxed, up early, and enjoy sitting at a table with a glass of wine or tea in the evening. Linguistically, Swahili/English work without problems.
