Hi! I'm Refilwe from Mana Pools, 32, and I've planned two weeks in Laos for January 2028. Rough route: Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Nong Khiaw, Luang Prabang. The core is a round trip – so lots of Mekong, a bit of temples, and if time permits, hiking too. I like accommodation to be small and personal, guesthouses rather than big hotels. It’s important to me not to tick off everything: I prefer to linger in a place if it feels right, explore local markets, and strike up conversations with people. I'm laid-back, an early riser, and in the evenings, I enjoy sitting at a table with a glass of wine or tea. Language skills are not a problem.
