Jade Paths and Zen Gardens: A Roadmap Through China, South Korea, and Japan

From August to around October/November 2026, a weightless adventure awaits me for several months. The goal is three unique countries: The Land of Dragons (China regions), Hanguk (South Korea), and Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun – all with plenty of authenticity, culture, and spontaneous moments instead of pure tourist trails. I will undertake the route again with the fantastic bullet trains and other public transport. I actually travel well alone, but this time I wish for a humorous, active, and resilient travel companion. Whether male or female, regardless of skin color – the main thing is that the chemistry is right and we enjoy discovering, learning, and exchanging ideas together. What I am looking for: • A companion who is curious, flexible, and passionate about travel. • Has previous travel experience, good humor, and team spirit. • Open to joint planning, but also spontaneous changes. • Partial routes or the complete route – everything is welcome. Rough route (in planning and adaptable): • Zurich – Beijing – Datong – Dengfeng – Xi’an – Jiuzhaigou – Chengdu – Leshan – Chongqing – Zhangjiajie – Fenghuang – Huangluo – Guilin – Yangshuo – Shenzhen – Hong Kong – Wangxian – Chizhou – Suzhou – Shanghai – Dalian/Incheon (ferry or flight) – Sowon-si – Seoul – Seoraksan – Guinsa – Gongju – Daehan – Jinju-si – Gyeongju – Busan – Flight to Okinawa – further stops in Japan (Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Noto region, Niigata) – North (Hakodate, Sapporo, possibly Wakkanai) – Tokyo – Narita – Return flight to Zurich. Duration: approx. 3–4 months.
