Who wants to travel to Crete with me?

My name is Brigitte and I live near Munich. I'm 66 years young and still mentally and physically fit. This year I plan to discover Crete, but only the south. Ideally, it would be June or then from the beginning of October because of the heat. I find the north too touristy. I have my eye on the Knossos hotel in Kalamaki as a good starting point for exploring the island. It's not supposed to be a pure beach holiday either. I also want to see some of the culture. Who else fancies exploring this destination with me? But I'm also flexible for other travel destinations. I'm looking forward to your replies, if possible with a picture and your suggestions.
