Japan off the beaten path – Nature, Animals & traditional Culture (Early October for 9 days)

EXPEDITION HOKKAIDO: Travel companion for wildlife road trip in Japan's wild north wanted! Hello! I (m, 54) am looking for a nature-loving travel companion for a real adventure off the beaten path. The route will be covered by rental car, is planned but absolutely variable. For accommodation, we are aiming for first-class nature resorts or cozy log cabins (single rooms, everyone for themselves). We will experience Hokkaido in the epic autumn colors completely independently. The focus: Freedom & Photography! We will photograph Red-crowned Cranes, Brown Bears in Shiretoko, Arctic Foxes up close on the beach of the Notsuke Peninsula, and hike at 1,600 m between volcanic vents in search of rare Pikas. Do you fit the bill (easy-going, connected to nature, hobby photographer also welcome)?
