Nature and Culture in Central Italy

Hello, I am looking for an open-minded and active travel companion for a holiday in Central Italy, as a good friend unfortunately had to cancel. The outward and return journeys are already fixed (unfortunately I can no longer postpone the holiday): departure from Speyer Nord on 15.08., return on 29.08. Both Saturdays, so few to no trucks and therefore very pleasant to drive. Destination: Stroncone (Southern Umbria): two small holiday homes are available there free of charge, so everyone has their own house and a place to retreat. I will provide a comfortable car for the journey. For me, the holiday already begins with the drive to Italy (my home country). Passing Lucerne, you go to the beautiful east side of Lake Lucerne (panorama route); after the lake, from Amsteg, you drive off the motorway again via the Gotthard Pass. On site, there are many possibilities: visit many old castle towns, attend a medieval village festival with parades and fireworks, a large waterfall with many hiking trails, great mountain tours (three two-thousand-meter peaks), enjoy delicious local food, or even go out. There are two large lakes about 1 hour's drive from Stroncone, as well as thermal springs. The sea is also not far away. Stroncone is extremely centrally located: many places are easily accessible from there (Spoleto, Assisi, Perugia, etc.). Among others, Narni: name-giver of the Chronicles of Narnia and geographical center of Italy. Rome is also not too far away. Costs: only share petrol, Italian motorway tolls, and parking costs. I will also pay for the Swiss vignette myself. About me: I am a historian, but I work for a financial services provider as a customer advisor and in market research as a supervisor.
