Ireland and New Zealand

Am I the only person who prefers rain, moderate temperatures, and little sun? Why does everyone want to go to the sun? I'm quite flexible and willing to compromise (the main thing is that the chemistry is right). I've seen a lot of the world (Central America, Europe, Africa, Asia), but I'm past the backpacking age due to my health. I just need water nearby for swimming to keep my body fit. I prefer beautiful, secluded nature instead of tourist hotspots and other crowded places. I want to explore the center of Ireland in the autumn and New Zealand for 2-3 months in the winter (B&B or similar, as long as it's a soft bed).
