Essentially, it's about a city trip – so lots of architecture, a bit of pearl trading, and if time permits, also the beach. I like accommodation that's small and personal, more like a boutique hotel than large resorts. It's important to me not to tick everything off a list: I prefer to linger in one place if it feels right, explore local markets, and strike up conversations with people.
